The original technician of Rolls-Royce suggested that the method of covering the scratches with brush plating and then reprocessing would have the least impact on the large shaft. Moreover, the large shaft of the ship is difficult to disassemble and transport.

Damage can be treated by polishing (slight scratches)/finishing (deep scratches)/replacement (serious damage), etc. However, the damaged area must go through tedious processes such as disassembly → reassembly → correction, which is quite time-consuming and cost-intensive.

•Brush plating repair (advantages):Time-saved and cost down

On-site construction does not require disassembly, the construction period is significantly shorter than mechanical processing, and problems such as disassembly, reassembly, and recalibration are not required.
